Educational Institutes: Exams for the unified competition will respect the official Brasília time. Candidates living in states with different time zones should pay attention to the clock.

On August 18, the National Unified Public Competition (CPNU) will take place, and for the 2.1 million people in 228 cities across the country who will be taking the exams, it is important to note that the exam times will be based on Brasília time. For those living in states like Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondônia, and Roraima, the gates will open at 6:30 am and at noon local time. It is essential for candidates to arrive at the exam location at least two hours before the start of each exam session. The gates will open at 7:30 am and close at 8:30 am for the morning session, based on Brasília time. In the afternoon, candidates can enter the exam locations starting at 1 pm, and the gates will close promptly at 2 pm, according to Brasília time.

The organization of the exam emphasizes that candidates will not be allowed to enter before the gate opening time or after the closing time, so it is recommended for candidates to arrive with ample time before each exam session begins.

The exams will begin nationwide at 9 am in the morning and at 2:30 pm in the afternoon, both based on Brasília time. The morning session will last 2 hours and 30 minutes, while the afternoon session will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The exams will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions for candidates with a higher educational background and 60 questions for those with a lower educational background. Additionally, candidates will also have a discursive test related to their area of expertise.

All candidates are required to remain in the exam room for a minimum of two hours for each session. Failure to comply with the exam rules may result in the candidate being disqualified.

It is recommended that candidates thoroughly review the exam location, transportation options, and arrive at the test site with the necessary documents, including a photo ID. Electronic devices and communication during the exam are strictly prohibited, and only the use of a black pen made of transparent material will be permitted.
